Fresh back from Blizzcon, the gaming platform Guild Launch has announced the integration of Stribe Chat functionality to allow its 2 million users to chat in their site, their game community and across Guild Launch. Stribe helps these websites to connect with each other and gives them the ability to talk and share information across the entire system. The richness of social media lets gamers ask questions, feel connected to one another, express their opinions, and interact with a community of gamers like them.

Guild Launch is the leading provider of services to guilds, kinships and clans in over 180 most popular online games. Guild Launch’s easy to use, customizable, Guild Management System supports a finely tailored set of features focused on the needs of Massively Multiplayer and FPS gamers.

More than 2 million users are registered on Guild Launch. “Stribe integration will create a multi-tiered chat system allowing users to chat across all of Guild Launch, to others who play the same game, and within their guild.” Said Stephen Johnston, the CEO of Guildlaunch.

To deploy Stribe in more than 50.000 Guild Launch websites, Stribe has developed an API to enable Single Sign on (SSO) and to administer Stribe back end settings. In that way, it will be more convenient for users don’t require an additional registration or login to use Stribe in their Guilds.

Thus, the Stribe API is now opened. All the documentation about how to use this REST API is online. You can now integrate Stribe with your user database thanks to Single Sign on, create different communities, post comments, manage badges and moderate content through the API.

We are very excited to open our API and demonstrate how a Gaming platform managing millions of users can take advantage of Stribe. We want to increase social interactions among Guild Launch websites and create more gaming opportunities. Virtual Goods could be the next service provided in Stribe Social Network. The Gaming Market is an attractive are for Stribe to move forward in. We want to become the Social Chat for Gaming platforms in the next months.” explained Kamel Zeroual, co founder and CEO of Stribe

This company acts both as a worldwide network connecting travel providers and travel agencies through a highly effective processing platform for the distribution of travel products and services.

During four days, Stribe shows its social network into an Amadeus Ticketing Portal to demonstrate how easy it is for a website to become social.

The secret for keeping users on your website

Quick fact: visitors who interact on a stribed website spend 2x more time on the website than visitors who do not open Stribe.

Stribe increases dramatically the retention rate. It’s natural to see people sharing the same interests talking with each other for hours! The Pokemon Denshou business case is a great example about that.

This value proposition is very important for websites who want to increase users loyalty. But it’s not the only one! Stribe helps as well to generate more trafic for free. The new Stribe.com website brings together websites sharing the same interests to create more interaction and increase the visibility of content.

It takes only 5 minutes to install Stribe on a blog or website (we even provide a Wordpress plugin).

We will share other interesting metrics with you very soon!

Stribe opens publicly its new social network platform

After six months in private beta, Stribe opens today publicly its social network platform and unveils a major new feature that brings together websites sharing the same interests, enabling them to generate more traffic.

We have been working on this new service for several months and we are very excited to show you how simple it is now to generate social traffic on your website.

Why link together websites sharing the same interests?

Traffic acquisition is an issue for every website. Facebook or Twitter connect is a technical bridge to generate more social traffic. Link sharing is another way to improve indexation and get more traffic from search engines. However, it is time consuming, manual and not easy to deal with even for professionals and bloggers.

Stribe now helps websites to connect with social media and with other websites sharing the same interests to get more traffic.

Now, any website can socialize with others sharing the same interests to get more trafic and visibility!

New opportunities for websites

Join a “meta social network”: websites can look for communities, join them or create their own from www.stribe.com to link with others and boost their visibility in a ring of similar sites. This provides more relevant content for visitors.

Increase your traffic: All the content generated  by users will be shared by websites involved in the same community and indexed to improve SEO and drive again more traffic to “stribed” websites.

Feel free to invite any website now and generate more value and traffic. We are looking forward to hearing your feedbacks!

The story of Pokemon Denshou – an interesting Stribe business case

Manga, comics and cartoons are very popular and bring together passionate people who spend hours to talk and share with each other.

It is not surprising at all that pokemondenshou looks like to have felt in love with Stribe :) This website brings together more than 500 Portuguese speakers to experience online their passion for this famous Japanese manga.

This website was already established in the common social media sites but they needed Stribe to become a community and provide realtime interaction.  They even made a video about Stribe to explain to their users how to sign-in and use Stribe.

Get your dictionary if you’re not fluent in Portuguese :)

Few metrics about Pokemon Denshou: more than 14000 posts left in the newsfeed, hundred of private messages and IM sent every day, 30% of visitors use Stribe.

There are many “stribed” websites like this. We will present you now and then one of them.

Hi there!
Starting from today, bloggers using WordPress can now install the Stribe plugin from the official wordpress.org repository, either by downloading it directly or by searching for the “Stribe Community Network” plugin in their WordPress admin interface.

After downloading the plugin files in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, follow these simple steps to be up and running:

  • Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress;
  • Create your account on http://www.stribe.com to add your blog and get a Stribe API key;
  • Go to the Settings section and fill in your API key;
  • Go to your widget section and drag and drop the Stribe widget to your sidebar.

It’s done! Easy, uh?

And yes, Stribe can now be included as a widget in your sidebar! Just take a look our our own sidebar on this blog, you might find something interesting…

Stribe aims to be perfectly plug and play for all blogs and websites. We will continue to improve this plugin to minimize installation and configuration time even further, and we are not forgetting other platforms: we are developing other plugins and/or detailed installation steps for Joomla, Movable Type, Blogger, etc.
